Critical Node
My Research Method
I call my research method Critical Node.
We are living in a time of worldwide disruption and change as relationships and meanings fluctuate in a dynamic network. I am a naturally curious person, so one hallmark of my research and projects is a deep-seated curiosity. I dive into a specific subject related to the critical node, collect information, investigate, conduct research, and obtain preliminary answers. That process leads to other knowledge nodes (A, B, C, D...) associated with the critical node. A knowledge map emerges, consolidates, and becomes clear with the discovery of multiple knowledge nodes. In this map, the critical node itself may not be important in a practical sense, but it is critical to the entire structure because without it the entire structure is difficult to maintain. Through such knowledge mapping, I construct a “sectional drawing” with the critical nodes to generate new knowledge, new knowledge structures, and corresponding actions that reflect a specific moment in time.
